Liberty et oeko tex ?
J'ai été plusieurs fois sollicitée ici ou là quant à une éventuelle certification bio ou oeko tex des tissus Liberty...
Je rappelle à toutes fins utiles que le tana lawn est une batiste 100 % coton. Ce coton vient d'Afrique, aux bords du Lac Tana..... J'ai d'ailleurs écrit quelques billets à ce sujet il y quelques années temps ...
Mais revenons à nos moutons, enfin à nos préoccupations écologiques plutôt !
voici ce que j'ai pu glaner au fil de mes recherches, extrait d'un document de Liberty of London, datant de 2013 :
"We declare and warrant that the fabrics we supply to you do not contain any of the banned colorants that may form one of the amines in the list below as specified by REACH Regulation 1907/2006 and German Law, as listed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Directive 2002/61/EC and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and all amendments thereto."
En résumé, les tissus Liberty Tana Lawn respectent les normes Oekotex...
Ce qui n'est pas étonnant, vu la qualité du tissu, les processus de fabrication européens, et l'usage auquel le tissu est réservé (vêtements et accesoires pour enfants notament ...).
Il semblerait simplement que Liberty of London n'ait pas fait la demande pour obtenir un certificat, mais garantisse néanmoins le respect des normes.
Nous pouvons donc continuer à utiliser les Liberty of London sans crainte youhouuuuuuu !
